APMS and APMS Realty (Real Estate Brokerage) currently consists of 6 full time employees including the Principal Broker.
What do our community/property managers do?
Managers typically maintain a portfolio of 10-15 properties, depending upon size and time requirements. They handle many smaller, less intensive properties combined with a few of the larger Associations that have more contractual obligations and time commitments. The job description includes resident/board/owner communication; assisting with billing; maintenance and vendor coordination; invoice review and authorization; inspections; and Board meeting attendance and coordination.
Terry J. Weaver, Principal Broker & Common Interest Community Manager
Terry founded the company in October 2011. His background includes 10 years as a self-employed dairy farmer, 4 years as a hog farm manager (1200 sow, boar stud), international dairy consultant, public accounting, and 7 years as a controller turned property manager for a real estate brokerage. Terry also holds the CPA, CMCA, and AMS designations and is the Principal Broker of APMS Realty LLC.
Doug Geib, Residential Property Manager & Licensed Real Estate Agent — September 2016
Doug’s experience includes Voter Registrar, real estate agent, business manager, SS Teacher and Assistant Director of Admissions for a local university. Doug oversees all aspects of residential property management including billing, collections, leasing, inspections, and maintenance coordination.
Debbie J. Reedy, Residential Property Manager — September 2019
Debbie is a licensed real estate agent and oversees all aspects of residential property management including billing, collections, leasing, inspections, and maintenance coordination, owner and tenant correspondence/communication and data entry. Debbie’s experience includes multiple years of office management and bookkeeping.
Kathy McAlister, Community Association Manager — December 2019
Kathy came to APMS with 35 years of retail and restaurant management and leadership. Kathy has worked extensively in the Northern VA area managing 13 locations. She will sit for the CMCA in the near future and is studying to become a licensed VA Real Estate Agent.
Kristina Sherrill, Community Association Manager, Technology/ARB/Compliance — January 2020
Kristina managed a local ice cream shop for three years, and currently works as a lifeguard outside of the office. In addition to the properties she manages, Kristina handles the Architectural Requests for all APMS properties. She also assists with owner accounts and communication. Kristina is studying to become a licensed VA Real Estate Agent.
Liz McCammon, Community Association Manager — May 2021
Liz can walk, talk, and chew gum at the same time! Her background includes expertise in purchasing, collections, negotiation, education, problem solving and conflict management. Over the past 37 years she has enjoyed the opportunities of working in the financial industry, the business industry, educational industry, and the ministerial industry. In her spare time Liz loves to volunteer! Liz is excited to be part of the APMS team and looks forward to sitting for her CMCA and VA Real Estate License so that she can be the best advocate for all her properties at APMS.
Summer Cruz, Office Manager — June 2021
Summer’s main goal is to ensure that the office operates smoothly and efficiently. She assists with most aspects of the business from handling new hire paperwork, assisting with billing, SCC & DPOR renewals, to simply greeting customers. Summer’s prior experience as a Call Center Supervisor and more recently as a Title Processor makes her a valuable addition to our team. Summer is a Notary Public in Virginia and is studying to become a licensed VA Real Estate Agent.
Alexander Romano, Community Association Manager — August 2021
Alexander has had many years of experience in several fields of the housing industry, particularly in Association Management. Long time resident of Central Virginia with a deep understanding of the local environment and culture. Alexander’s focus is on strengthening the foundation of APMS allowing for solid growth. He is studying to become a licensed VA Real Estate Agent.
Tyler Michael, Assistant Property Manager — July 2021
Tyler graduated from Liberty University in May of 2021 with a B.S. in Interdisciplinary Studies. He has work experience in retail as well as heating & cooling. Tyler is studying to become a licensed Real Estate agent and looking forward to learning the industry as well as making connections with new people throughout the community.
