5 Community Managers
Community managers typically maintain a portfolio of 10-15 properties, depending upon size and time requirements. Managers handle many smaller, less intensive properties combined with a few of the larger Associations, that have more contractual obligations and time commitments. The job description includes Resident, Board, and Owner communication; assisting with billing; maintenance and vendor coordination; invoice review and authorization; inspections; and Board meeting attendance and coordination; etc.
Terry J. Weaver, Community Manager/Principal Broker
Terry founded the company in October 2011. His background includes 10 years as a self-employed dairy farmer, 4 years as a hog farm manager (1200 sow, boar stud), international dairy consultant, public accounting, and 7 years as a Controller turned property manager for a real estate brokerage. Terry also holds the CPA, CMCA, and AMS designations and is the Principal Broker of APMS Realty LLC.
Doug Geib, Full time Residential Property Manager/Licensed Real Estate Agent — September 2016
Doug’s experience includes Voter Registrar, real estate agent, business manager, SS Teacher and Assistant Director of Admissions for a local university. Doug oversees all aspects of residential property management including billing, collections, leasing, inspections, and maintenance coordination.
Debbie J. Reedy, Office Administrator — September 2019
Debbie provides full time assistance with billing and collections, maintenance and vendor coordination, insurance requirements, owner and tenant correspondence/communication, meeting notice and packets, data entry, etc. Debbie’s experience includes multiple years of office management and bookkeeping. She is studying to become a licensed VA Real Estate Agent.
Paige N. Stough, Community Manager/Licensed Real Estate Agent — March 2017
Paige started as an Office Assistant and has since been promoted in November 2017 to Community Manager. Paige’s background includes graduation from Singapore American School, customer service representative in the hotel industry, bartender, and most recently a restaurant manager. Paige will sit for the CMCA in the near future.
Kathy McAlister, Community Manager — December 2019
Kathy came to APMS with 35 years of retail and restaurant management and leadership. Kathy has worked extensively in the Northern VA area managing 13 locations. She will sit for the CMCA in the near future and is studying to become a licensed VA Real Estate Agent.
Kristina Sherrill, Community Manager, Technology/ARB/Compliance — January 2020
Kristina managed a local ice cream shop for three years, and currently works as a lifeguard outside of the office. In addition to the properties she manages, Kristina handles the Architectural Requests for all APMS properties. She also assists with owner accounts and communication. Kristina is studying to become a licensed VA Real Estate Agent.
